2025 Seasonal Pottery Subscription
Seasonal Pottery Subscriptions are back for another year!
Subscribe to receive a unique, seasonally inspired piece of ceramic art 4 times throughout the year in 2025, shipped to your door.
Subscribers can choose between the standard mug subscription or an “Artist’s Choice” option.
Subscribers will end 2025 with a set of 4 complementary pots, wheel thrown and decorated with a hand-carved and inlaid design by me in blue and gray! Each piece will be unique and different, inspired by the plants and landscapes of the season.
Mug Subscriptions:
Folks who choose the "mug subscription" option will receive 4 unique mug designs throughout the year. Each mug will have a 14-16oz capacity, and be decorated with a seasonally-inspired design in my signature blue and gray inlay technique. Each of the 4 mugs will have a different form and decoration, but they will be designed to complement each other as a full set.
Artist's Choice Subscriptions:
Folks who choose the “artist’s choice” option will receive a mixture of 4 different forms that may include mugs, tumblers, bud vases, ramen bowls, cereal bowls, wine cups, or some other new form throughout the year. There will be no form repeats, but subscribers will each receive a surprise combination of forms by the end of the year. Each piece will be hand thrown on the wheel and decorated in a seasonally-inspired design in my signature blue and gray inlay technique. You will end up with a complementary collection of 4 pots to fit a wide assortment of functional pottery needs!
Subscriptions will be sent out in March, June, September, and November of 2025.
This subscription is a perfect gift for the pottery lover or coffee and tea drinker in your life, or a fun way to collect my work for your own home.
This offering is designed to give me, the maker, a lot of creative freedom, so that I can follow the flow of my inspiration in the moment. This means you'll be receiving the best and newest that I have to offer, every season! It also means that you won't have any control over what design will be coming your way, so if you're the type of person who has particular preferences when it comes to mug forms or the designs you want on your pots, I'd say you'd be better served purchasing individual pieces during my shop updates. However, if you're into surprises and want to follow the arc of my creative journey throughout the course of the year, this is perfect for you!
**Photos included with this listing are the 2023 Subscription collection, and are meant to be examples of what Subscription pots may resemble, but not accurate representations of the final product you will receive. Subscription pottery decoration will be botanical and landscape-inspired, but not geometric or covered in pattern.
**************************************************************************
My designs are inspired by the wild plants and trees that I encounter in my adventures, as well as by memories of the plants of my childhood in the Pacific Northwest. Each piece is hand-carved from scratch, so even though I often repeat the same design, each piece is one-of-a-kind and handmade with care in my studio in Bellingham, WA.
This piece was hand thrown on the wheel with stoneware clay. The decoration was hand-carved and inlaid with color before the piece was fired. I mix all of my own glazes and fire in a gas reduction kiln to 2400 degrees F.
CARE:
All pieces are food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe, and can be used in the oven.
When using pottery in the kitchen, the key to longevity is avoiding temperature shocks, for example taking a bowl out of the fridge and putting it straight into the microwave or oven.
When using pottery in the oven, place the room temperature dish in a cold oven and heat it up with the oven. When pulling hot dishes out of the oven, beware of setting them on a wet surface.
If you follow these simple guidelines, you should enjoy a lifetime of use from my pottery.
