Create your own countertop seasoning set, including your choice of a handmade salt jar by Ayla Mullen and a handcrafted Herbal Salt Blend by local herbalist Anna Derrer of Nettles and Petals NW.
Salt Jars: All of the salt jars were hand thrown on the potter's wheel out of stoneware clay by Ayla Mullen. They are glazed in a food safe glaze, and come with a small wooden salt spoon that fits inside of the closed jar. Jars are dishwasher and microwave safe.

Salt Blends: All Nettles and Petals herbal salts are made with fresh herbs from Anna's garden, preserved in high mineral Celtic sea salt and are a great staple for the kitchen. They make for an easy way to add some extra flavor to your food. These blends are meant to be used like a salt substitute or a finishing salt, meaning they are salty and not just a spice blend. Perfect to pair with a beautiful ceramic salt dish to store on your table or kitchen counter!
Choose your blend: each salt jar comes with 4oz. of the salt blend of your choice
- Garden Blend: has fresh rosemary, thyme, oregano and sage with Celtic sea salt. This is Anna's favorite all purpose blend that’s good on pretty much everything.
- Nutritive Blend: has fresh rosemary, thyme, oregano and sage with Celtic sea salt plus powdered nettles and kelp. This is a wonderful blend for those who are looking for an extra mineral boost to add on to your meals.
- Rosemary and Garlic Blend is just as it says, made with fresh garlic and rosemary infused into the Celtic sea salt. This is for all you garlic lovers out there! Tastes great on meat, roasted veggies or potatoes, eggs, even popcorn or anything you’d like a little extra garlic and rosemary flavor.
- Savory Spring Blend: made with fresh nettles, green garlic, mustard greens, oregano and shiitake mushrooms with Celtic sea salt. This is another favorite all purpose blend that adds some extra flavor and minerals from the nettles into your dishes.
- Nettle Shiitake Umami Blend: this is a unique blend of fresh nettle, shiitake mushrooms and thyme infused in Celtic sea salt plus dulse seaweed and black and white sesame seeds. This blend is delicious on eggs, fish, rice dishes, steamed veggies and more.

Care information
All pieces are food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe, and can be used in the oven.
When using pottery in the kitchen, the key to longevity is avoiding temperature shocks, for example taking a bowl out of the fridge and putting it straight into the microwave or oven.
When using pottery in the oven, place the room temperature dish in a cold oven and heat it up with the oven. When pulling hot dishes out of the oven, beware of setting them on a wet surface.
If you follow these simple guidelines, you should enjoy a lifetime of use from my pottery.
